I just noticed that some of my old meta posts have been getting an oddly high number of reblogs, even though I haven’t posted in ages and ages, and coincidentally I’ve started replaying the series recently… so I’m just dropping this post to say hi to anyone still watching <3

I’m thinking of selling my limited edition box that came with my game too so I’ll see if anyone is interested.

Heya

This is just my sort of semi-annual reminder / FYI notice that while this blog still technically exists, and old posts of mine still circulate around tumblr on occasion, I no longer update or post meta here, so there isn’t and won’t be any new content.

When Inquisition came out I migrated permanently over to @hedgequisition, where I almost exclusively post screenshots with a handful of modding posts these days because my heart just isn’t in the meta thing anymore.

I never wanted to make a post about DA2 on this blog ever again but after seeing an overwhelming number of comment and discussion threads about how evil supervillain Anders torched poor heroic peace loving martyr Elthina I’ve got a few real important things to point out that people either love to ignore or never noticed.

It’s been a long time, maybe people need a refresher.

If a city’s infrastructure fails as spectacularly as Kirkwall’s did, it’s time to stop blaming the people struggling to survive and start looking at the people running it, and Elthina is as selfish and two-faced as anyone else. She just hides it better than most.

I’m not going to preach for 12 pages about how perfect and right Anders is, because that is neither what I actually believe nor the real point here, but rather point out a bunch of events and parallels with Elthina that apparently everyone just forgets or misses or has been swept under the Chantry rug.
